Glasgow Airport

Glasgow Airport is an hour or less from the superb tract of links courses that runs down the Ayrshire coast on the west coast of Scotland. An almost unbroken line of golf runs from Irvine and Gailes Links to Prestwick, taking in Western Gailes Golf Club, Kilmarnock Barassie, the municipal courses in Troon, Royal Troon Golf Club, Prestwick Golf Club and Prestwick St Nicholas golf course.

There are many more courses circling the Airport, which serves Scotland's biggest city but is also just half an hour south from Loch Lomond, where the highland scenery contrasts with the vibrant city centre.

In total there are over 50 golf courses within a 30 minute drive of Glasgow Airport and an incredible 170 golf courses within an hour's drive time.

Flights

European flights to Glasgow connect the city with the airline hubs of London Heathrow, through British Airways, Amsterdam through KLM, Munich with Lufthansa and Dublin with Aer Lingus.

United Airlines fly to Glasgow from Newark in the United States, while American Airlines fly from Philadelphia. Emirates flights from Dubai also connect Glasgow with the Middle East and beyond.

Car Rental

As one of Scotland's two major airports Glasgow has desks for all the major car rental companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and National. Scotland's own national car rental company, Arnold Clark Car Rental is a 5 minute shuttle ride away from the Airport.

Accommodation

There are several airport hotels, including the Premier Inn Glasgow Airport and the Holiday Inn Express Glasgow Airport. The most convenient hotel for the terminal is the Holiday Inn Glasgow Airport which is directly across from the terminal building, just a few metres from the door.
