Ferry Connections

From Northern Ireland

Kintyre Express runs a seasonal passenger service between Ballycastle in Northern Ireland and Campbeltown on Kintyre. Campbeltown is very close to the challenging links courses at Machrihanish and Machrihanish Dunes.

Kintyre Express also operate a summer passenger service between Ballycastle and Port Ellen on Islay, a perfect location to combine classic links golf at Machrie with whisky exploration at one or more of Islay's currently 8 active malt whisky distilleries.

From the Netherlands

P&O Ferries operate car ferry services between Rotterdam and Hull on the English east coast, while DFDS run services between Amsterdam and Newcastle.

Hull is around 5 and a half hours drive from Edinburgh while Newcastle is approximately a 3 hour drive from Edinburgh.
