The Balmoral Hotel

The Balmoral Hotel is an iconic building at No. 1 Princes Street. Originally a grand railway hotel, opened in 1902, the Balmoral offers 5 star comfort and luxury with high standards of customer service. The unmissable clock tower is an Edinburgh landmark, running 3 minutes fast to keep people on time for their train at Waverley station below.

There are 168 rooms, ranging from Classic to Superior Deluxe, which combine traditional and modern styling to offer comfortable and elegant accommodation. Ensuite bathrooms are of Italian marble. The 20 spacious and elegant Suites all offer impressive views of the Edinburgh skyline.

The public areas are grand and stylish while the bars and restaurants can also offer intimate spaces. Number One is a Michelin starred restaurant, while Hadrian's Brasserie is less formal. The Palm Court is the perfect space for afternoon tea, and there is a choice of bars.

There is also an extensive and modern Spa with a 15 metre pool.

The Balmoral Hotel is an ideal venue for combining a luxury stay in the heart of Edinburgh with the extensive links golf courses of the nearby East Lothian coast.

Golf:

The Balmoral may be in the heart of the city of Edinburgh but over 20 golf courses in and around Edinburgh are within 30 minutes' drive of the hotel.
